My Story

I am a career strategist, teacher, and writing tutor who thrives on exploring the knowledge, experiences, and opportunities that New York City has to offer. My career journey has given me a window into multiple fields, driven by my natural curiosity about the industries that shape our world and how they connect with one another.

Over the years, people began to notice my ability to “effortlessly” enter any field I set my sights on—often without prior experience in that industry. My path has taken me through corporate fashion, education, and beyond, giving me unique insight into navigating career transitions. I became the go-to person for friends, acquaintances, and coworkers of all ages, because I had a knack for helping others get their foot in the door. Early on, I discovered that landing any job comes down to three key elements: effective self-branding, a focused mindset with dedicated time to the goal, and a tailored set of job search, application, and networking strategies.

My professional background spans HR, fashion, retail, beauty, art handling, library sciences, non-profit, supply chain, production management, and education. This breadth has given me a perspective far wider than most people who stay in one field for their entire career. I’ve celebrated achievements and learned from mistakes along the way—each experience shaping my ability to mentor others on every facet of career empowerment: from breaking into a new field without connections, to networking effectively, to securing interviews within a week, and mastering the dos and don’ts of pursuing a job or building a career.

How I Became a Professional Résumé Writer

Part of my secret to consistently landing the jobs I wanted was my ability to craft winning résumés—paired with other proven job-search strategies. Knowing I had this skill, friends, acquaintances, and family members often turned to me for help writing or revising their résumés.

In the summer of 2019, two of my coworkers lost their jobs and were having no luck with the résumés they had been sending out. Without hesitation, I offered to help. Confident in my résumé revamping skills and well-stocked toolbox of job acquisition strategies, I knew I could make a difference. Within the same week of drafting their documents and coaching them, both received multiple calls—and even compliments—on their résumés and cover letters. One of them received over twenty calls, going on so many interviews that she felt she couldn’t keep up. Within just one month, both were employed.

That was the moment I decided to take my skills to the next level and officially embark on my journey as a professional résumé writer. Since then, I’ve invested in continuously learning and refining my expertise in career strategy and style. The clients I work with consistently share positive feedback—not just about their new résumés, but about the confidence they gain and the results they achieve.

What I love most about my work is everything—from building relationships with my clients, to the creative process of writing, to witnessing the transformation in their confidence.

Many people think writing résumés, cover letters, or any other self-branding document is boring. I see them differently. To me, they are not just documents—they are keys to personal agency and freedom. In a world where we can’t simply walk into an office and demand a job, powerful writing becomes an essential tool. Compelling language opens doors, allowing others to see the best version of you before you’ve even stepped into the room.
